Who needs to take the LLND test?
Before you can start studying at ALG, you will normally need to complete an online LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills) assessment at https://alg.quiz.lln.training/. You normally only need to complete the LLND assessment once, even if you apply for more than one course at ALG. If you return to your studies after a long break, you may be asked to complete the assessment again.
The LLND assessment evaluates your skills against the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and the Digital Literacy Skills Framework (DLSF). It assesses six core skill areas:
- Reading
- Writing
- Learning skills
- Oral communication
- Numeracy
- Digital skills
The ACSF is used for reading, writing, learning, oral communication and numeracy, while the DLSF is used for digital skills.
The assessment helps ALG understand your current LLND skills, make sure your skills are suitable for your chosen course, and identify any areas where you may need additional support during your studies.
